- Sometimes I get annoyed when i see some of the posts on fb not only challenging government leaders, the way they ask a question, the way they argue a point, the way they make fun of government leaders is worst than a 5th grader. I can understand some people may be frustrated about a certain policy, or something happening in the environment and they have to voice out or even to the extend of arguing on a situation, or challenge a particular government leader for explanation, but Singaporeans are still Singaporeans, even though those people they challenge are not their family members, not their friends, perhaps, don’t they observe some basic social manner, like politeness? Don’t we learn all that in our young days, and just because now we are so much on the internet world, we forget all that about manner and respect.
- Some are simply wan to draw d attention. E-generation or ‘me’ generation, no talk no fun.
Do they really understand d situation b4 sharing d comments or opinions????????????????..
Endless of question marks.
- As they say the pen is mightier than the sword….over here a single click is laser sharp…it cuts through anything…so here everybody is king…the sad thing is..some is like the real King ..full of etiquettes and manners and some are like King Kong…beat their breast and roar and to hell with others…:-p
- Just because people can speak behind a mask of anonymity does not mean they cannot be traced for their rudeness (and especially slander).
- I always make it clear that ‘anything goes’ by way of the issues, *provided* we show respect for each other and each other’s views. There is zero tolerance for any personal attacks or derogatory comments about any groups of people.
- Both sides can debate or even argue on a particular issue or topic, but there should not be “personal attack”, like calling name or making fun of the other person. Observe basic social manner.
